 HIDROPOWER is a SME (Small Medium Enterprise) which was created in 2000 in Lisbon and operates in two complementary areas: 1. Designing and building hydraulic systems such as dams and small dams, pumping systems for distribution to human consume and irrigation (agricultural and golf courses), small and micro – hydro, water surfaces in Landscape design, cascades.  2. Producing electrical energy from renewable sources and sells it directly to the national grid of distribution. The origins of the production are: small hydro in natural rivers, small and micro – hydro in human distribution systems, implementing in the real cases innovative ideas which are developed in Instituto Superior Técnico, from Technical University of Lisbon, designing and licensing wind farms and, in the future, designing hybrid systems which will connect hydraulic and wind power in the same cluster.
